The organic Italian tomato concentrate from biogan contains a whopping 28% tomato paste, where conventional concentrates usually only contain 22%.
To achieve 28% tomato concentrate, a whopping 5.6 kg of tomatoes are used to produce 1 kg of solid tomato paste.
This means that 840 g of tomatoes have been used in this glass to achieve 150 g of tomato concentrate. Tomato concentrate is a fantastic flavor enhancer.
Tomato concentrate can be used to achieve a more concentrated tomato flavor in, for example, stewed dishes, soups or tomato sauce together with fresh and chopped tomatoes.
