Pea meat from biogan is made from yellow organic peas that have been extruded, and can typically replace animal meat.
Pea meat itself does not have much flavor and must therefore be seasoned well or cooked in an herbal broth.
Pea meat is recommended for, for example, lasagna, spaghetti bolognese or for steaks.
Pea meat has a high protein content of 55g per 100g (more than in beef) and a high dietary fiber content of 16g per 100g.
100g of raw pea meat becomes approx. 370g when cooked.
Preparation: if the pea meat is to be used for a dish. Boil 500ml of water and add a stock cube, add 100g of pea meat, remove the pan from the heat and let it stand for 5 minutes.
If you are making a bolognese with pea meat, do not prepare the pea meat first, but simply add it as you would add the beef.
