Organic tempeh from biogan is very similar to tofu. Tempeh is made from whole soybeans that have been fermented naturally, while tofu is made from the liquid from fresh soybeans.
The fermentation means that tempeh has a firm texture that is easy to cut. Tempeh is a good source of protein and is suitable as a meat substitute in many dishes.
Tempeh has a slightly nutty flavor, and goes particularly well with spices such as curry, garlic, ginger and chili.
Fry tempeh in a pan and use it in pita bread, in your salad, stir-fries or in oven and stew dishes.
