Organic culinary lentils from biogan are grown in France.
Culinary lentils are also called Type Du Puy lentils. Culinary lentils are small and firm and have a lovely spicy flavour.
The culinary lentils are suitable as a side dish in salads or for pâtés, meatballs and stews.
The lentils give a good feeling of satiety and are ideal for meatless days and in vegetarian dishes.
Before using the lentils, they should be rinsed and boiled for 20-30 minutes in a ratio of 1:5.
Recipe for vegetarian meatballs:
175g celeriac, 3 red onions, 1 carrot, 2 eggs, 1 dl oatmeal, 1 ½ dl cooked culinary lentils, curry, turmeric, chilli, garlic, salt and pepper.
Boil the lentils for 15 minutes. Clean the vegetables and blend everything together. Let the stuffing rest for 15 minutes. Shape into meatballs, brown in coconut oil for approx. 8 min. on each side.
