Orsa sandstone is mined in a quarry in Dalarna in Sweden.
The stone is 360 million years old and consists of silicon-bonded quartz.
Sandstone is mainly used as a building block, millstone and grindstone due to its exceptional abrasion resistance and long-lasting durability.
Make sure you stand in a good and safe place in the kitchen and place a damp litter under the stone so that it does not slip on the table.
The iron does not dishwasher safe. Clean it by pouring boiling water on it.
