biogan organic agar agar is a vegetable substitute for animal gelatin.
Agar Agar is made from organic red algae.
Agar agar is ideal for use in, for example, jam, desserts, fruit fillings, juice and dairy products.
The powder has a very weak taste, which in turn penetrates the dishes you use it for.
1 tsp. agar agar corresponds to 5 sheets of house-made breadcrumbs, but it is important to remember that Agar Agar's function is impaired if it is used with citrus fruits such as orange or lemon.
For 1/2 liter of hot liquid or 500g of fruit, use 1 teaspoon of agar agar. 5 tbsp. of liquid is removed and stirred with agar agar, then the rest is added to the liquid and boiled for approx. 2 minutes.
The solution turns into jelly at temperatures between 34-38 degrees and will solidify upon further cooling.
For pudding, use 2 teaspoons.
