Organic pearled spelt from biogan is polished spelt kernels. Spelt is a very old wheat variety that was produced in the Middle East about 6000 years ago, also called ancient wheat.
Spelt kernels are today a popular kernel and are part of Danish cuisine, where they are used for example in risotto, in soups, for porridge, baking and stews, but can also be used in salads or as a substitute for rice.
Cooking instructions:
Always remember to rinse the spelt kernels thoroughly in water before use, as this prevents foaming when boiling
1 part pearled spelt to 2 parts water
