bioga organic fusilli is made from red lentils. The red lentils are ground in a stone mill and are rich in both fiber and protein.
The production of fusilli takes place in broché molds, which have the advantage of a rougher surface, which in turn means that the sauce or pesto you eat with your fusilli sticks better.
The fusilli is dried at a low temperature (38 C°) for 14 hours, after which another 24 hours pass before it is packaged, so that the product is 100% cured.
Fusilli has an intense flavor of red lentils, and can be used in salads, soups or as a side dish.
Fusilli is one of the basic elements of "The Mediterranean Diet"
Eat the pasta as the main ingredient of the meal, possibly with olive oil and herbs.
Use it as a substitute for wheat pasta to get more dietary fiber and protein.
Preparation:
Use enough water so that the fusilli have room to move in the water
Make sure the water is boiling before you put the fusilli in the water.
Cook for approx. 5 - 6 minutes, until the fusilli are al dente
DO NOT stir for the first 3-4 minutes.
It is recommended that you omit salt, as the fusilli already has a lot of flavor
Due to the high mineral content, foam may occur, and this is completely normal
